The
Chignecto-Central Regional School Board's Strategic
Plan includes our goal to create a safe, supportive and
socially just learning environment for each student in our board.
The strategy to accomplish this goal is to expand opportunities
for students to access and participate in healthy living programs and
activities with a focus on increasing their physical activity and
improving their nutritional health through the Health Promoting Schools
Initiative.
This is the only generation NOT expected to outlive their parents.

"Schools have the ability to
offer children positive examples and direction in leading an active
healthy lifestyle. Through HPS, we are able to offer students a balance
of physical activity, balanced nutrition, emotional well-being and
environmental sustainability. We believe that when children have this
balance in their lives, there is a greater potential to achieve the
educational goals we strive for."
